Diving The Northern Light
We originally made this dive and
it's accompanying video just for ourselves, to have fun with, to show to our
families and children and to look back on when we are old,
Since that time many people have requested us to show them the tape, which is why I finally
got around to asking a very talented friend of mine to see if he could make it
small enough for the web. In addition Dean has written at least 3
magazine articles (that I know about) including one in the most
recent issue of Quest, and we all continued forward to make a second video of the Queen of Nassau
(web version is in the works). We hope to keep up this
trend and go for a third pretty soon, what will it be??? hmm....we'll keep
you posted...
Each one of us on this project had a specific task. Dean was
the team leader and coordinator (the big boss). Brien and
Pat N. took the Video and Brien then edited the raw footage to make the final
version that you see. Pat B. was in charge of timing and deco for the exterior
team. As the author of the book Histories & Mysteries, Tom Scott was our resident historian and wreck
guide,
and last but not least I was the only remaining cave diver with no camera so I was
put in charge of keeping track of time and decompression for the penetration
team.
Due to the fact that the file was huge, and had to be compressed
extensively in order to be web friendly, the quality is not as good as we would
like, but It does look really awesome on the big screen I promise, and if you
want to see it, you can ask for a look on the TV's at both The Scuba Shop in
Miami and Brownies In Ft. Lauderdale.
I hope you like it as much as we
had fun making it.. but watch out is is about 27Mb.
